Dealing with Anger
As human beings we are at risk of very harmful emotion that is anger. It is said that anger has no race, gender or religion. We often react very quickly and unconsciously in some conditions on which we have to regret later. Anger has a lot of negative effects on a personality of person and it can leave life long imprints. Islam wants its followers to avoid anger and control emotions that can have bad consequences. Our Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon Him said:

We have to deal with anger we have to mould our characters so that we can be very slow to anger and swift to cool. We should extinguish the inflamed emotions the way Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon Him told us:

It is obvious from this hadith that most important reason to overcome anger is controlling for sake of Allah as each and every action of Muslim is to please Allah. So if we have to please Allah we will always try to prevent our heart from anger. Anger leads to destruction of faith (Iman) which is most precious asset of every Muslim. The messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said

This shows that anger is not benificial to us in any way and it always ends up with terrible consequences. But thanks to Allah, He sent us guidance to protect us from bad consequences of anger.
Controlling anger is controlling our selves and it is our strength of mind and soul which is required to minimize the emotions of anger. If we lower our ego (nafs) and we can easily regress our inflammed emotion. We should remain steadfast to win battle with anger and we should not let anger ruin us. Stronger are the men who control their anger as Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon Him said

It is very clear from this Hadith that one can not be strong only if he or she has good physical health. To be strong really one need to have control on his/her emotion so that his anger can not drive him in wrong way. There is also motivation for us in above mentioned hadith that if we want to be strong in eyes of our beloved prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him we have to become emotionally and mentally strong. In this way we will be able to get closer to Allah and our Prophet Mohammed Peace be Upon Him.
A simple way to control anger is looking at life of our ideal Prophet Mohammed Peace be Upon him and applying the way he told us to deal anger. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said:

Prophet Mohammed peace be upon Him also taught us to controll anger through ablution or wuddu.

This technique is very usefull and working water purifies ones self from anger to state of peace. It is said the the best words to repent are the words said in anger. Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon Him told a simple way to avoid this situation and bad consequences of anger.

So, make a deal with you self that you will not let anger to destroy peace in your life and the lives of others. InshaAllah
